Membership services provides for the needs of members, as well as encouraging others to join and promoting Jaycees membership in the community.

We provide current, new and prospective members with information and literature about the Jaycees. In addition, we try to make each member feel at home as they develop new friendships and relationships within the organization.

The Buffalo Jaycees are always looking for ambitious, fun-loving, community-minded individuals to participate in our many projects, serve in leadership positions or just enjoy our speakers and make new friends.

To make the most of your membership:

• Attend general meetings regularly to gain insight from notable speakers and interact with fellow members
• Participate! Take advantage of the opportunities your organization offers for leadership training through volunteering. Learn from new experiences through chairmanships or participation in various committees.
• Attend some board meetings during the year to better understand how your President, Vice Presidents and Directors work for you. Meetings are held the first Monday of every month. Contact your President for more details.
• Strive for understanding of the "total" organization through visitations to other chapters, and by attending regional events and state conventions.
• Avail yourself of social opportunities through attendance at parties and happy hours and remember to make friends with your fellow members.
• Ask questions! Help improve the performance of your board members by making your questions or problems a part of the discussion.
• Spread the word! Show others the way to attain the same satisfaction you gained by inviting prospective members to General Membership Meetings and social events.

Current membership dues are $60.00 per year. You'll receive a free subscription to the national Jaycees magazine as well as complimentary subscription to other well-known publications such as Fortune Small Business and Fast Company.
